Histoire et explication de Hand In My Pocket




Composée et écrite par Alanis Morissette et Glen Ballard (producteur par ailleurs de l’album), Hand In My Pocket figure sur le premier album de la chanteuse, Jagged Little Pill, sorti en 1995. C’est l’une des chansons qui permit à l’album de se vendre à plusieurs dizaines de millions d’exemplaires dans le monde. Elle a en effet le mérite de présenter, par son texte en particulier, l’univers d’Alanis Morissette, à savoir celui d’une fille plutôt zen (ou tendant vers la zen attitude) qui ne comprend pas vraiment le monde pressé et stressé qui l’entoure. On retrouve également dans Hand In My Pocket les influences de la pensée hippie et de l’univers beatnik si chers à Alanis Morissette et que l’on retrouve dans beaucoup de ses chansons (Ironic, Thank U…).


Biographie Alanis Morissette

Alanis Nadine Morissette (née le 1er juin 1974 à Ottawa, au Canada) est une chanteuse de rock canadienne. Sa carrière internationale a commencé en 1995 avec l’album Jagged Little Pill, qui a connu un succès considérable (33 millions de disques vendus). Elle s’est mariée le 22 mai 2010 avec son compagnon, le rappeur Souleye (de son vrai nom Mario Treadway).
