Histoire et explication de One Day
One Day figure sur l’album Light sorti en 2009. Matisyahu a déclaré, à propos de One Day : « Je sais pertinemment que cette chanson est un brin naïve. C’est exactement ce que j’ai cherché à produire. One Day est un hymne à l’espoir, le genre de chanson que l’on écrit comme une humble prière, en espérant qu’elle fera du bien à ceux qui l’entendront et leur permettront d’ouvrir leur cœur ». En mars 2010, Matisyahu a enregistré une version de One Day en duo avec Akon. La chanson fut par ailleurs « utilisée » comme hymne non officiel des Jeux Olympiques de Vancouver en 2010.
Biographie Matisyahu
Matisyahu (né Matthew Paul Miller à West Chester, Pennsylvanie, 1979) est un artiste de reggae Juif, mais sa musique mêle les influences de genres tels que syncopé dub et ska. Étroitement liés à la culture reggae, ses textes utilisent des thèmes spirituels qui découlent de son Judaïsme hassidique. Matisyahu est l’équivalent hébreu du nom Matthew.
